Offline or online: choose the right game
Choose games that fit your connection
Before a commute or a trip, work out which parts of a game actually need the internet.
Offline play can have limits
A single-player mode may still need an initial login, extra downloads or occasional checks. Multiplayer, cloud saves and events may require a connection even when another mode works offline.
Try it before you travel
Complete the installation while connected, then close the game. Turn off mobile data and Wi-Fi and reopen it. Check the mode you intend to play rather than just the title screen.
Control mobile downloads
Use your phone’s network settings to review data usage and choose Wi-Fi for large game assets. Read in-game download settings before selecting optional high-resolution packs.
Read current source information
Features can change after updates. Follow the publisher link on a game page for current support and requirements.
